The Rook Guesthouse Lake District

Cockermouth in the Cumbrian Lake District

Cockermouth is a 'Gem' town, birthplace of William and Dorothy Wordsworth. It is situated on the Northern fringe of the Lake District and it offers easy access to The Lakes and Fells, Solway Coast and Border country including Hadrian's wall.

There are many attractions, events and activities for all ages in the town and surrounding area. Cockermouth has two cycle routes passing through it, the C2C and Reiver's route and we are happy to accommodate cyclists and their bikes as well as walkers, golfers, sailors, fishermen etc.
